HISTORY

In 1998, Chuck Webb, having spent over five years with a major alarm company in Rocky Mount, NC, moved to Newport, NC and began East Coast Enterprises. His company specialized in subcontract installation for other alarm companies for large and complex installations. In June 1999, Mike Krauss joined the company with nineteen years experience in the industry. Together we began to revolutionize the way an alarm company operates in this area. By focusing on dependability and service excellence rather than the initial sale, the company grew at a rapid rate from a handful of customers to more than two hundred in fewer than six months. We established 911 Center monitoring operations in Edenton, Greenville, Elizabeth City, and Lexington, NC. With our reputation growing, we started looking for a way to centralize our operations. Mark Ackerman, the former owner of Atlantic Security Systems, had decided to leave the industry to pursue other interests, and contacted us. We completed the transfer of ownership in June 2000, and subsequently moved our offices to 320 S. Front St. New Bern, NC in May 2003.

OUR FUTURE

We now look forward to redefining Atlantic Security Systems as the premier alarm service and sales company in the area. How best to protect your investment, family, and employees is the most important decision you will make. We believe that means more than hardware and components: it is about the people we help to serve and protect. We want to be your strategic partner in these ever-changing times. We have technicians on call 24/7 for all emergency service calls and with the help of our office-to-control panel download capabilities for many systems, we can assess and sometimes make needed changes without a service trip. We believe that all of our customers, old and new, are entitled to prompt responses to all their questions and problems…with a smile and a thank you.
